Mike Murphy

Mike started his career as the
original Drummer in the Jazz Fusion Group Sweetbottom
in the early 70's performing in the greater Milwaukee, Wisconsin
area. He joined, Matrix in the mid
1970's, and traveled extensively throughout the United States .
They recorded "The Wizard",
"Tale of the Whale" on a Warner Brothers Label and "Harvest"
on the Pablo Label. |

In the late 1980's, he hooked
up with another former band member, Daryl Stuemer Sweetbottom
for summer tours and collaborated on a recording project
entitled, "Festival City".
More recently, he
recorded with
Matrix in the summer of 2001,
and he is currently playing with the Pop Rock group,
Tony's Tygers. |
In addition to performing, Mike
continues his studio work on various recording projects,
commercial advertisements and teaching private lessons. Mike was
a guest clinician at
Drummers for Jesus.
