Mike feels that
rehearsal bands are important because they push you as a
musician. As an individual, you may not like the musical
genre or the arrangement, and there will probably be times when
you crash and burn. But In the long-run you will learn more
from the experience than you ever will playing it safe.
Playing 'In The Mood' for the 300th time doesn't make you a
better musician. Real musical growth comes from the
pressure of reading charts down and making music out of them.
