Brett Murphey

Brett is
the Lead Trumpet, flugelhorn and piccolo trumpet for the
All-Star SUPERband. He started
playing with the band in early 2000 at Jimmy D's. He is
originally from Des Moines, Iowa and earned his B.M and M.M in
Studio Music and Jazz/Jazz Pedagogy at the
University of Miami,
Coral Gables, FL in 1984.
He studied
with Gilbert Johnson for 5 years. Gil was the principal trumpet
in the Philadelphia Orchestra for 25 years under Eugene Ormandy.

He
